Prostar PMS405M-144 photovoltaic half cut cell 405 watt solar panel: Prostar PMS400M-144 photovoltaic half cut cell 405 watt solar panel is offering higher efficiency, lower installation costs.

Prostar PMS405M-144 photovoltaic half cut cell 405 watt solar panel

Prostar PMS400M-144 photovoltaic half cut cell 405 watt solar panel is increased efficiency of half cut solar cells produce higher power output compared to a traditional solar module. This in turn increased the overall efficiency of the entire solar power system – be it solar power packs, rooftop solar power plants and land based solar power plants.

Smaller cells experience reduced mechanical stresses, reaching a decreased opportunity for cracking. Prostar PMS400M-144 photovoltaic half cut cell 405 watt solar panel has higher output ratings and are more reliable than conventional solar panels.

Half-cut Cell Mono Solar Module InstallationToday new solar module generation technology has increased the module output of up to 15 watts per module, compared to standard solar modules. Boasting the efficiency of up to 19.99%.

Half-cut cell mono PERC solar modules have solar cells that are cut in half, which improves the solar module’s performance and durability. Traditional 60-cell and 72-cell solar panels will have 120 half-cut cells and 144 half-cut cells, respectively. When solar cells are halved, their current is also halved, so resistive losses are lowered and the solar cells can produce more power.

Half Cell Solar Module Features

-1- 5 busbar cell design improves module efficiency and offers better aesthetic appearance for rooftop installations

-2- IP68 junction box for long-term weather endurance

-3- Limited power degradation of Eagle module caused by PID effect is guaranteed under strict testing condition (85℃/85%RH,96hours)for mass production

-4- Higher module conversion efficiency thanks to half-cut cell design

-5- LOW hot spot temperature risk

-6- Excellent space utilization performance, increasing power density effectively and reducing costs of solar panel

-7- Lower temperature coefficient, zero depth reflection increasing

-8- High salt mist and ammonia resistance certified by TÃœV NORD

Why cut solar cell in half?

Solar cells are cut in half to reduce the cell-to-module losses during assembly. Power loss is generally proportional to the square of the current times resistance.

Half-cut Cell Electrical Losses

Splitting the cell into two halves the current (not the voltage) of the cell, so when you apply this change to the equation the losses are reduced by 75%. The overall panel efficiency increased by 1,5-3% and this results in a reduction in panel heat production.

Split Junction Box

Panels with half cut solar cells can have junction boxes that are split into three, as you can see in this picture of  half cut panel. The middle box is for the middle bypass diode.

A split junction box leads to lesser metallization than a standard panel in comparison to poly or mono panels and creates lesser internal resistance which saves space.
